General Information |
The Riad “Oudayas”, steps from Boujeloup Square on the Ziat hillside, is near Batha Square and its museum which illustrates the marvels of the Eastern world.
The Riad's guestrooms are all completely furnished in traditional Moroccan style.
The private and communal terraces, the drawing room and other intimate spaces are available to welcome you for breakfast, for lunch or just for an excellent cup of mint tea. Our guests may also enjoy the sunshine with the incredible twelve-century-old Medina as their backdrop.
The Riad is immersed in the tree-filled patio, where the sound of running water mixes with birdsong, creating a surreal and truly unforgettable atmosphere.
The Riad is made up of seven suites, all different and each with its own living quarters and bathroom. The style and colours of the rooms have been studied in a way to encourage calm relaxation of both body and mind.
The two suites on the second floor each have a private terrace that directly faces the Medina.
The five suites located on the first floor directly face the patio and its splendid fountain.
The Riad also contains a Hannam centre, where you can benefit from oriental massages.
In the early morning or at sundown, our terraces offer you an impressive view of the Medina and the Merenidi necropolis as far as the green hills to the south of Bordj.
A relaxed atmosphere, warm welcome and excellent local cuisine will give you the impression of being in a paradise.

| INFORMATION ON THE CITY OF Fes |
Founded in 789 by Idriss I, Fez was the first of the Moroccan imperial cities. In order to escape the rampant cholera and the terror of Queen Isabella of Spain, Andalusians, Berbers, Arabs and Jews found shelter in the ‘Athens of Africa'. All of these different cultures brought with them their traditions and therefore enriched the city, paving the way to the future kingdom of Morocco.
Fez is known for its handicrafts, its architecture, its culture, its reliefs and for its charm: memories of the past, a geographic and historic crossroads, the Medina of Fez is a true medieval Arab city where the present lives side by side with a past that is still very visible.
Since the 1980's Fez has been considered a Universal Heritage site for the UNESCO.
Fez is the largest and most historic Medina of the Arab world.
Thousands of marvellous buildings, gardens and fountains are hidden behind ochre coloured walls on streets that still maintain alive craftsmen's traditions in a truly unique environment.
In order to discover the city, the best thing to do is to lose yourself within it. Through the Derise and the small streets of the Medina, you're able to go back in time and reconstruct thousands of years of history.
The Medina offers many different routes that awaken the senses of its visitors. The unique colours and scents are contained within this city that is rich with twelve centuries of history. |
