Serafina Helzel and Alberto Leone have the pleasure to welcome you to the opening of the Maison du Vent, a Guesthouse of an Italian property placed in the Medina of Essaouira in Morocco.
A few meters from the Piazza of Bab Marrakech, close to the parking, and close to the bus terminal Supratur, The Maison du Vent welcome its guests in a small patio surrounded by rock columns.
For the interior of the Maison, it has been puts a lot of attention in the traditional materials being used, and the utility of its artiginal capacity.
Ceilings in wood tuia, tadelakt technique, a sort of Venetian stucco, ceramic’s floors, fossil marble of Erfoud, characterized this beautiful place.
The Maison is composed of six double rooms and three suites and can host a maximum of 24 people and all have a bathroom and shower.

From a big terrace, furnished with small matresses and a solarium zone, you can enjoy a vast view of 360 degrees on the top of the terrace of the Medina, that looks into the hills behind and into to the sea.
The breakfast can be eaten in living room or in the same terrace.

190 kms west from Marrakech lays Essaouira, the white town.
Completely drawn on paper before beeing constructed Essaouira has grown around its tiny medina, in wich you will find many high quality crafts.
By crossing the main square, you will find yourself in the port, this is the right place if you love seafood and crabs. Just sit down in one of the many kiosks and enjoy the food beeing cooked in front of you.
Essaouira is becoming very famous among the surfers worldwide, due to its constant microclima, and the good wind conditions allover the year.
As well the Gnawa Musical Festival contributed a lot to built the fame of this beautiful little town, Jimi Hendrix and Cat Stevens used to spend a lot of time here playing music.
